Ever say that the guy behind you is so much better?  This is your chance to prove it!  Join The Golfers Home at Woodbridge on Sunday, Oct 5th for our second Annual One Man Scramble!  This tourney is a scramble where participants are allowed to hit each shot twice.  That's right, tee off twice - pick the better shot; hit two approach shots - pick the better one; two putts - pick the better shot.  Golfers will be flighted by handicap; there will be gross and net winners for each flight.  We will have great prizes, Hooters girls, and loads of fun so register early to reserve your spot!
Your $70 green fee includes cart, range balls and a breakfast buffet!  Check-in and breakfast begin at 8 am; tee time is 9:30.
Space is limited to the first 72 paid golfers.

To request pairings, please register online and type in the name(s) of who you wish to play with in the Comments box.  All golfers must register and prepay online.

Please indicate your handicap in the comments box during registration.

Please note that prepayment is required for this outing.  To receive a full refund, please cancel at least 24 hours prior to tee time by contacting Shannon at the above email address or 972-891-3080.  Cancellations received within 24 hours of tee time and will be refunded less a $15 cancellation fee. No-shows will not be refunded.

  • Mobile phones to be allowed at The Open Posted: May 17 2012 | 10:23 am

    Spectators will be able to use mobile phones at this year's British Open golf at Royal Lytham & St Annes after organizers announced they were relaxing a ban they put in place in 2006.

    Tournament organizers are particularly sensitive to phones ringing while players play their shots, leading the governing Royal & Ancient to introduce a complete ban at The Open.

    However, because of the growth of smart phones and the golfing apps that go with them, it has relented.

    Fans will be able to carry their phones with them on the course, although calls will have to be made in designated areas.

    "There is no denying the attachment people feel to their mobile phones both in terms of gathering information and staying in touch with family and friends," R&A chief executive Peter Dawson said in a statement on Monday.
